Very nice little shop with a good location. Quality buds especially the pre 98 bubba. But the shatter was not so good. It was a good deal though so no complaints. Would come back
I, like other commenters here, avoid new dispensaries like the plague typically. There’s so many of them, and it’s an awkward feeling walking into a room full of garbage in a 1 on 1 setting. I always feel compelled to spend something.
I decided to visit strains on Sunday night, feeling adventurous and I assumed it was safe to visit based on other reviewers who I trust.
I was greeted by a familiar face at the door, it was Meghan who has worked at other dispensaries around the city, one of which I would rank near the bottom of my personal list (you can see my review on here). Prepared to walk out, I was ensured that there was no affiliation and proceeded into the room. No wait, and I proceeded into the room to be greeted by another familiar face. Slightly weary I take a look into the jars in their nicely designed room and am really happy with what I see. Top shelf was $15, and they had options in the 10 and below. Tbh I enjoyed what I got from the $10 more than $15 (Gorilla Cookie was nice, but I think was cut down a little late, inconsistent pieces, either way I paid happy hour prices for it and have zero complaints). I also picked up an 8th of island sweet skunk which looked like strawberry diesel, but everyone grows differently and achieves different results. Regardless it was bomb. Free gram of sour strawberry kush which I probably should have got more of.
It was a welcome change from the two dispensaries I had frequented almost exclusively for the last 5 months. Bright lights, happy people, and uplifting positive sativa and hybrids.
*note for the girls there, my review of your last place did not reflect you. I made a comment about how someone was too high to be working, rest assured it wasn’t either of you. Good luck with the new place, you’ll be seeing me again soon.

One of the best locations I’ve been to. They have great service and the bud tenders are very nice and always smiling. The quality as far as wax is phenomenal, their flower is pretty good and they have the BEST moon rocks I’ve seen so far. Great experiance, would recommend to a friend and am going back.

Definitely the best med center around! Not only is their flower better than anyone else’s on 8 mile but they have these amazing edibles exclusively from California that no other dispensary has!.(must try) Their budtenders were the best!!!! My first time going was very pleasant. When I first walked in my first impressions of the place were greatly miscalculated, I thought that the atmosphere and the people there would be totally different then what I’d actually witnessed. The quality of the medicines that they provide also really helped me out with some life struggles and other issues I would not have been able to deal with without. The people there were excellent they were quick to come up and talk to me and show me what they had in store, they also were very kind and helpful to me. Without a doubt I would come back and shop there again, and I would recommend checking this place out you wont be disappointed.

I’ve been coming to Strains more often under the new management. Let me just say the quality of the buds is outstanding. The atmosphere is great, the budtenders are gorgeous and friendly. I enjoy talking to the new manager Rex whenever I stop in for meds. His recommendations on which nugs to try have been great. Their happy hour specials are GREAT.

Strains was 25-30 minutes from closing when i arrived so, from what was said, they were rinning low on meds so there were very few options. I did, however, leave with some good meds and a free gift, though. I will try them again and update my review at a later date.

So I walk up in this place a dispensary virgin, feeling nervous like any other stoned white boy on 8 mile with some cash and some nice pumas. Right off the bat, the guard compliments my shoes so I’m already feeling the celebrity treatment, not to mention safe cuz this guy looks like he might be batman on his spare time so I’m not too worried about anybody coming up in there acting ignant in his presence. Going in I was expecting a mom and pop pot shop with some stoned guy to come from a back room and start telling me that he’s got the best ish around; what I didn’t expect was an awesome welcome from pretty girls with pretty faces showing me the best selection of the best buds I’ve toked and alot I never heard of. The place looks clean af too, on par with jewelry stores, you walk outta there feeling like you just went to Jared. Shit if I had a fiancee she would probably take an ounce of any dank in this place over a diamond ring. At the end of the day, I got some bud that looks like what God smokes, and this place got a new loyal customer. I give a really high recommendation. So high
