2014 found me traveling up and down the California Coast between FarNorCal and LA for work and play…then I met a play that I wanted to stay for and 2016 finds me relocated back to the…Valley?! Thank goodness THP is here to salve my Gen-X soul into accepting that I have indeed gone rogue and grown up…and it’s more than okay!
When one enters THP, the bustle and blister of Ventura Blvd. is mellowed away by chill music, cool beverage offerings, and the smiles of THP Team. When there is a wait, the front room radiates good vibes and tranquility. One may gaze at the road-ragers with empathy as one considers the day’s flavour. The back room is clean, stocked, and efficient. What I truly appreciate is the diversity of the crew. Each budtender has his/her/their own custom canni-curation for your needs ready via friendly, kind, no-pressure but knowledgeable dialogue that is welcoming and respectful.
Their flower is displayed and maintained with care. THP keeps flower with flower and shake with shake. They call type correctly. I appreciate this. I’m the furthest thing from a Humboldt Hunny, but my hum-grown heart bleeds Redwoods and I know my ‘yada.’ I value that THP does as well. With the boom in MMJ Delivery and Dispensaries it seems like quality is being trumped for the almighty…but I digress.
I lean toward exotics and require robust elevation: I have tasted some of my all-time fave flavors at THP: Daytripper, Blue Satellite (please get these 2 back in!), Black Lotus, and my current rave: Chem Scout!
I’m Humboldt Homegrown through and through, but my ever-budding heart has much appreciation for the standard and care The Higher Path offers their patients.

This place is amazing. They have premium medication and hooked a sistah up today. I have major depression. This evening I haven’t felt this relaxed in years. I got a couple freebies for being a newbie.
My first time here today. I called last night to ask if they had cannatonc. Yelp led me to the place down the street and they were trying to sell me s**t I had already tried before, that didn’t work. I then asked if they were the higher path? They replied no, and I quickly left and came here. First off, very relaxing cool atmosphere. I was checked in quick and led to the back. James took care of me with a nice vibe and great smile. I told him about my bad past experiences trying different strains. I have wanted to try cannatonic for the longest and couldn’t find it. Well I came home and tried one hit at a time, and it seems to be pretty good. Thanks again James for all your help. I will be back for sure.
This is my regular dispensary, and I am consistently impressed by the friendliness of all who work here, as well as the quality of the products sold. Such a welcoming and warm environment, I can’t imagine ever moving my business elsewhere!
I just got my rec and was driving by Ventura Blvd last Saturday and saw this place. Being a first timer I am intrigued how this place looked. I love this place! Very artsy and the girls are so friendly and helpful they explained everything very well. I also got a lot of free goodies as a first time customer. Very good selections of top shelf and edibles. I will definitely coming back and recommend this place to anyone! Keep up the good work and thank you!

I’ve been going here for about a year now.
This shop is VERY patient and service oriented. They want to make sure patients are informed and getting the right kind of meds; if you need advice, ask! Patients new to MMJ are welcome just as more experienced folks. The atmosphere is top notch aEUR” you could bring your grandparents here! It’s designed that way, and they make every effort to integrate into the community, not hide behind a dark storefront. They WANT people to know they are there. If you look at their storefront, they usually list what they have paid in taxes the previous month and articles also. Nice lobby with rotating artwork and comfy chairs. Friendly, competant staff.
They are Pre ICO and prop D compliant. On your receipt, it clearly shows your goods and the taxes you paid on them.
They have regular daily specials, happy hour, and you get points with every purchase that you can see right on your receipt too, redeemable in goods 🙂
Some bud tenders are more knowlegable than others, but if they do not know the answer to something, they will try to find out.
One of the 2 owners is often there.
Their flower quality varies a little bit more than I would like, but is usually priced accordingly.
They seem to carry more high CBD varieties than any place I have ever been too.
Overall, an outstanding selection across the board of all kinds of Cannibis…. edibles, concentrates, tinctures, you name it.
ALL of the concentrates they have are CO2 extractions.
They also carry some hash…. why so few clubs don’t stock any or very little is baffling to me. They also have *real* kief of excellant quality and purity! I have only seen kief this good in Holland, and only twice in the US.
It’s exactly like it should be: trichomes, virtually no plant matter at all even under high magnification. Good kief should be in the blond to amber range. If you see green kief, it’s NOT kief! It’s crap!
There FTP is good too.

Love this spot! Clean, Safe, Parking in rear (or across the street @ Ralphs). Some really great Budtenders here. Tons of leaf, vape, and edible choices, not to mention daily deals & a rewards program! I have been really enjoying the varieties of shake (as I like to roll.) If you are a Sativa fan, I highly recommend the Dream Queen or Green Crack. Remember to bring your rec.

I don’t have very much experience when it comes to collectives, this is the first that I’d been to. That said, The Higher Path was great. My mom and I stopped in today knowing nothing about the different active compound concentrations or strains. Everyone who helped us was really cool, helpful, and patient.
Being clueless, that there is such a large selection of everything you can imagine so it can seem overwhelming but they took the time to answer all our questions without making us feel stupid for being so uneducated. From looking around at menus on Weedmaps, the prices and selection at Higher Path are better than most of the other collectives in the area and they even gave us some freebies since it was our first time.
It looks like we got lucky with our first choice because I don’t plan on going anywhere else anytime soon, why would I? Everyone was helpful and considerate, they have an extensive selection, good prices and they aren’t too far from where we live.
If I had to say one negative thing at all is that it’s easy to miss if you’re not careful but at long as you know that the storefront faces Ventura, not the parking lot, it’s easy.

The Higher Path is my favorite dispensery in the area. The staff is so friendly and don’t make you feel pressured to get in/out quickly like some places. Staff is always knowledgeable and willing to talk in detail about products you have questions on. Not to mention, the decor and ambiance is beautiful and chill!

One of the first dispensaries I ever went to– been going to this dispensary for almost a year now, and it’s still my all-time favorite. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and they always remember you every time you come in. It smells incredible inside, and the interior decorations are gorgeous. The sf dragons breath and boost were seriously the best. It was my first time there and everyone was super chill and I’m for sure coming back.
I love visiting higher path. The staff is kind, happy & patient every time. The vibes are good and it’s always clean and tidy in the waiting area. There’s so many products to choose from. I’m always in and out of there in less time than the quarter I put in the parking meter.

Excellent shop. Only drawback can be parking and the wait, but there is valet on site and the lobby is comfortable. Selection is excellent, the staff are knowledgable and nice. I got a great education on CBD products here. This is quickly becoming my go-to shop! The cookie monster is my favorite strain.

Terrible. Ruined my day. It shouldn’t take an hour to check out with a bud tender. They are not knowledgeable and the credit card system is a joke. The higher Path advertises the store as being helpful and knowledgeable about the Medical use of cannabis. Today I had some questions as my use is MEDICAL and I swear the budtender just looked up as if not listening to me.. She was staring at a neon menu.. My question was if you don’t have stock than what strain should I get when you get stock againaEUR|NOTHING just a stare I think she had maybe sampled the stockaEUR|
I get it is about the sale but then do not advertise that you are knowledgeable.. I would have come back if they were just out of stock but not nowaEUR|
It’s easy to see how the Higher Path was voted best dispensary. Beautifully decorated, well stocked and the employees are warm, welcoming and extremely knowledgable. They have daily specials that even include CBD Sunday for CBD lovers like me (side note: they had 5 strains, tons of edibles and even a line for pets when I dropped by!). I can’t wait to go back!
Quick introduction, I’ve been visiting dispensaries for over 5 years now easily, and this is my first time signing up for a leafly account lol.
Getting to the point, this is my go to shop in the SFV, and pretty much my go to shop period, I’ve been a regular here for over a year. I’ve visited just about every shop in the valley, and definitely every shop on Ventura. The buds here are legit, the strains are authentic, they’re grown well, flushed well, cured well, trimmed well, everything. All of the staff is very knowledgeable and very helpful, and most important, friendly. This is easily in my top 5 shops of all time, I won’t mention any of the other ones, and some are either closed or moved to another location so they’re not as easily accessible.
Price ranger is 35-60, depending on the strains. OH! And the budlets, for $25 1/8, when they have their top shelf budlets, you won’t find a better deal anywhere. Yeah you might get some cheaper bud somewhere else, but it’s gonna make you cough and choke, cause they either rush the growing process or just don’t know what they’re doing.
To summarize, go here, check it out, you can’t go wrong.
Super chill place. It honestly doesn’t even feel like a dispensary in there, more like a cannabis boutique or something. The atmosphere is laid back yet professional. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They have everything from flower, to concentrates, to awesome quality glass pieces, to edibles, even the art that fills the walls is available. Which is some bomb ass art btw. Anyways back to the weed… Great prices for quality well grown medicine. I got some nice sticky buds that smelled and tasted great! Highly recommend to anyone looking for fire.

This is one of the greatest clubs ive been to. Come here every time i pick up. Monday is happy hour all day and Friday you get a free joint my two favorite days. This is my favorite dispensary since I’ve started visiting dispensaries over the last month. I have now been to four, all in the SF valley. Definitely the nicest waiting room of all of them. The staff is very welcoming and friendly and specifically, the two women who helped me really listened as I talked with them about what I was looking for. Even the woman who was sampling edible chocolates was very warm and was generous with her samples and sharing her experience with pain relief from this wonder herb. They are all knowledgeable with their products and were extremely helpful with what I needed without any pretense. Also, on my first visit I was showered with gifts which I didn’t realize until I got home and looked in my bag! When I returned for my second time, they still had a gift for me! Anyway, this is my dispensary of choice at this point, in spite of the distance from my home. I highly recommend this place!

I love the atmosphere of this location it’s so open and inviting. The budtenders are so helpful and have a lot of knowledge about all the products. They always have great deals on a weekly basis. Make sure you try Cookie Monster or SF Dragon’s breath. Those are 2 of my favorites.

When i first arrived i noticed parking was small but it didn’t really matter for me since it wasn’t packed. When i first walked in i was greeted and took in the nice atmosphere of the lobby. Sign in was quick and was in within 10 minutes. When i got in i was helped. i told the bud-tender about my anxiety and he recommended ACDC. Since i was a first time patient i received a little goody bag which was great. He also gave a tour of the facility which made me feel very comfortable and was out with my medicine very happy.

Happened upon Higher Path last week. So glad I did. Cozy place with a pleasant staff and great selection. Made a FTP like myself very comfortable. Shout out to Mason who gave some outstanding options. And if it couldnt get any better, I discovered they feature deals all week long. I’ll be back. Peace!

Fantastic dispensary. I went here a few days ago looking for a place that would have a good selection of products and or flower with a decent CBD content, as most locations in the valley seem to just cater to people looking to get high so they just carry strains high in THC and low in CBD. I never expected to find myself in a place with such class and cleanliness. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the products, and the displays were all elegantly arranged. I won’t be going anywhere else for my medicine and have already recommended it to several friends.

i thought the place was very easy to find conveniently located in the heart of Ventura Blvd and Hazeltine. I walked in, filled out my form and waited to go in to get the Three joints for ten dollars deal. Everything was nice and cordial until i asked questions about whats inside the joints and if she knew the strain or not. She basically said its three grams for Ten dollars, its a great deal, why are you asking so many questions. So i decided to write about this. But all in all, the joints were pretty good. just maybe the service could use a little tweaking.

The SF Dragon’s Breath strain that they carry is delightful. I travel a great distance to buy it and use it all day. It provides pain relief, I’m very productive but not hyper. Most of my friends have been impressed by this wonderful strain!

A home while away from home.
I purchased an item from these guys for a goodly sum of monies. This product can’t be purchased anywhere cheaper and I got it out of more convenience than anything else. The product worked for sometime but it crapped itself one day, rendering it perfectly useless to me. Having still the receipt and the original packaging and at least half of the product left, I first called to check if they could take the product back. Again very helpful and offered me express service to the budroom to get it fixed.
So parking is a bit of a thing, my advice is take one of the parallel roads heading up the hill into the residential area, find a nice spot under a tree, and take a lovely walk 🙂 you won’t be more than 5 minutes walk and so far I’ve had no problem parking there.
I got to the store which had a full waiting room, but don’t be intimidated as the service is very prompt. Again I was offered to go straight through, but I declined and opted to hang out in the waiting room. When I got in the back after about six minutes of waiting, My BudTender was really understanding and made it right. I received store credit to which I used immediately! Again the service was knowledgeable friendly and really helpful! so if you feel like a brisk little walk and perhaps pick up some groceries at Ralph’s from across the road (could be a place to park). Go here. Have a loyalty program on a convenient swipe card .

Wow, I can’t believe, that time is flying, so quickly, and I’m getting so much done. This is very good. I sometimes worry a lot. I worry about America, and its future. It is a really good place, and I love it. I was born at Jewish Hospital, grew up attending Roman Catholic Peroical Schools, and Subverbs and City Schools, and Community Colleges. At age 15 1/2, I was the Youngest Professional Cheerleader, in the World. 1985-1986-1987-1988-1989, then I moved to Hollywood, California, during 1988-1989. I’m still here. Ah ha haaa. The Football and Baseball Cardnials (NFL and MLB), The Steamers Soccer Team (MISL), and The Blues Hockey Team (NHL). I was supposed to be 18 years old, yet with my dance ability, shape, and height, I was promoted, at the audition, with My Parents Signature. So I wish for The NFL, not to play overseas, because, its an American NATIONAL Sport. I think that I need to smoke a joint.

This is an excellent dispensary. As one who is not a heavy cannabis user, I had a bunch of questions regarding strains and concentrates. Dan was not only super helpful and incredibly patient, he was also just a really nice guy who clearly knows his stuff. He was very knowledgable and made me feel completely comfortable there. The young woman at the front desk was also incredibly friendly (did not get her name) and very excited that it was my first time there. I cannot make a higher (no pun intended… ok, maybe a little) recommendation than this dispensary. Their prices may be slightly more expensive relative to some of the other dispensaries in town, but if you like really good product and even better service and atmosphere, you really should come to this place. All around a very good experience, and I will most definitely be back.

How is this legal?
I have been medicating for a long time now and I am a super-picky flower smoker. THP has consistently outstanding flower. Better than all the other local shops. They are raising their vape game and have added many new top-shelf concentrate suppliers of late. I don’t use edibles but their selection looks fantastic for patients that do. The people are friendly and never rush a client out. I am so happy I live nearby THP!

Cool vibe, nice people. 1st time patient and was treated like an old friend! Daily specials will keep me coming back. Only drawback was the parking situation; a few shared spaces in the back, then again there’s free valet at certain times. Street parking is available but Ventura Blvd. can get quite hectic. All the patients who were there when I was seemed to be quite pleased with the entire experience.

Doesn’t get much better than this. Think they are 3 years in at the shop, a growing fan base (I find people talking about THP well away from Sherman Oaks), quality Meds and the staff is nothing short of awesome. Honesty, friendliness and knowledgeability must be the pillars this shop was founded on because I’ve never seen anyone have attitude, try and push anything in a way that makes me feel like I’m at a Ralph’s cash register turning down the $1 that can cure childhood obesity, and they have the answer to every question I ask, or are more than willing to find out. If you don’t give this place a shot, you can’t say you’ve been to the best.

I’ve long been looking for a place that has a decent selection of CBD products, and nobody comes close to the Higher Path.
They have the largest variety of CBD flower, an entire shelf of CBD products, and their budtenders are incredibly knowledgeable and caring when it comes to everyone’s specific needs.
This was the first-ever dispensary I have ever visited, and the friendly staff made my experience so very smooth.
I love this place. Everyone was great (all the guy bud tenders were super cute, too.) They have an amazing selection and are super knowledgable. Recommended one of my favorite strains to this day! I don’t live in the area, but I would absolutely come back again when I find myself in Sherman Oaks again!
