Although Starbuds opened in September of 2016, we have nearly 8 years of experience. Before recreational marijuana become legal in Washington State, we had already been running a successful medical marijuana business. By having a jump start in this complex business, we’ve been able to build long-term, trusting relationships with the most seasoned experts in the field. Small shop makes great use of the space, and has a surprisingly broad selection. Knowledgeable, pleasant budtenders. This should be part of any Costco food and gas run.

The two times I have gone here have been awesome. At first I thought the prices may be a little higher than places I’ve been before – I chalked it up to the fact that it was Kirkland; the places I went before were usually around Lynnwood.
But I got familiar with the menu here and there are plenty of good deals to be found. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I’m not gonna lie, I generally pick my go-to bud shop based on how convenient the location is – and this is the closest location to me so I will be returning time and time again.
But this is one of the first places I’ve gone that I think would be worth a bit of an extra drive if I ever move to a different locations.
5 stars for sure – the best shop I have been to overall, and I’ve been to many.

Drove a fair distance yesterday to get here, to purchase a strain of flower they showed as being in stock on their online menu, but when I arrived was told they didn’t have it. From the looks on their faces it was almost as if they’d never had it in stock. This smacked to me of a “come on”, so I asked why they advertised this strain on their online menu. The reply was “that’s up to Leafly – it’s completely out of our hands”. Upon speaking to a Leafly representative I learned that statement was not true at all, that the shop is responsible for updating their menu. It’s doubtful I’d return here, due to this and other reasons, but a word of caution – CALL before you drive over there to check if they actually have what you’re seeking. Total waste of time for me, and there are soooo many other shops to choose from. Starbuds has unfortunately lost me as a customer.
This funky little hole the wall. Every easy to drive pass. But it’s right across from Costco. in 90th. Hippie Juice Man gives his approval (5 joints), the staff extra friendly and helpful. Peace out!!
Their location is awesome for Kirkland residents. The bud tenders are very nice and they carry some good strains at reasonable prices.

Worst customer service of any place I have ever called in to. I simply called to ask them what growers/producers THEY RECOMMEND that they carry within top shelf quality so I could make an informed decision before driving across WA state. As most of the recreational cannabis currently available tends to be really horrible quality. Especially when coming from the medical side of the industry. Instead of giving some quick suggestions to cross reference, the lady told me she was too busy and to look at the website and then hung up the phone. Really? Well good luck to your business treating folks like that. 🙂
The budtenders at this location are super friendly and so knowledgeable and helpful with whatever your needs are rather it be looking for a certain effect or trying to stay within a budget, def me and my fiancA(c) new fav spot. Love the small intimate setting you don’t get lost or left behind,

I felt so overwhelmed when I first walked into the store.As a novice I had really no idea what I was looking for. The gentleman that helped me was extremely knowledgeable. He made me feel at ease with his confidence in the products.
Plus, the prices weren’t that bad.

The aesthetic threw me off on first instinct. Starbud makes up for it in customer service, product knowledge, constant deals, and funny staff. I have been a fan since this place popped up. Thanks for new strains at decent (retail income affordable) pricing. 🙂

My wife and I just moved to WA from a non-legal state and went to Starbuds as the very second cannabis shop we’ve ever been to. We were very impressed and pleased with the shop, it’s inventory (which was well stocked and had items that other stores were out of), and the Budtender who assisted us was friendly and extremely knowledgeable (thanks Kelly!). I was looking for something specific to meet several needs for both day and night use and she was spot on with fulfilling my requests – everything she recommended was exactly what I was looking for. She also personally took my wife aside, who has never used cannabis but is looking to use for severe menstrual cramps, and explained to her several different options for pain relief depending on her comfort level as a novice user. Overall, we were very impressed and felt completely welcomed. We will definitely be going back!
