5. This group of ppl live up to their mission statement. Theirs never a dull moment when visiting, they are willing to answer any questions you may have, offer different techniques like blending flowers, to using agave sticks in tea before bed.

   they offer a punch card which has great benefits. And there next to a cupcake shop!!
   its a small building like 10 ppl small if you have to wait its not long and just go buy a cup cake or two before hand!!

7. I visited for the first time over the weekend because it is much closer to my home than the several other dispensaries I usually visit. I expected a quality product in the budget section because that is what I have found at the other shops… I was sadly mistaken… The Blue Wonder is what I went home with. And to my unpleasant surprise there was no THC crystallization on the shake like product, and it had no real scent besides dry grass and chemicals… it hadn’t been properly flushed and I am an asthma patient… needless to say my asthma has gotten worse over the last two days and I cannot use the product. It also had brown leaves on it!!! I won’t visit again. People were nice though.

8. First impression is the store is the smallest I’ve ever seen. You have to wait out in the cold until they clear out the 3 customers inside. Yes 3. Flower is twice the price it should be for the quality. Pre rolls are also obviously made from very dry shake….huge waste, literally couldn’t smoke it. And last but not least; the customer service was horrible!

10. Love this place. But the last couple of times I’ve been there I’ve gotten more stem than flower. Asked for 2 grams of the Hindu. Came home to weight it out without the stems and I got a 1.3. This the type of things that should be avoided and makes me wanna shop at cannabis nation for now on.

14. I love this little place.
    The owner, Aaron, is a top notch guy. He is one of the pioneers in the industry, and had to take a lot of battle wounds in order to bring meds (and now rec) to this area.
    I would encourage anyone in the area to stop by and make a purchase. I no longer live nearby, but wouldn’t hesitate to shop here, nor recommend it to my friends in the area. He always seems committed to getting the best quality for the price he can from his vendors, so he can pass it down to his customers.

The location was ok, my biggest issue is the cannabis purchased, it is old stinks and is yellow and made me feel nausea.i will not be going back to purchase . other dispensaries with bottom shelf still had decent bud. this place really disappointed. I spent 65 bucks on garbage old yellow weed. I should have just not purchased but they had so many strains in my face. But many were not impressive the guys are nice .. but the weed I purchased sucked .

17. Low quality bud, low quality workers, and a low quality dispensary overall. The workers don’t know what they’re doing half the time and their bud is schwap. But hey, if you got $30 to waste, then go right ahead. I have almost never been satisfied with this particular dispensary, and if i didn’t live so close then there would be no way in hell youd catch me there.

20. Met the owner the other day at the shop and seemed like a great guy. Now I think they have top shelf flower for bottom shelf prices. Friday they serve pizza and sell joints for a buck!! Also great customer service. Always giving good advice on new strains. I love the place!!!!

22. Great location and very knowledgeable staff. After visiting several dispensaries in the Portland area i am overly impressed with NW Compassions quality of superior product. The size of the store maybe small but great things come in small packages. The best part about this despensary is the location right off interstate 84 at exit 15 via Wood Village covenant for heading up the I 84 corridor with nothing else for miles.

26. Having had my medical card in California/ worked in the industry and gone through various other dispensaries in Oregon, this location does not meet expectations for quality flower. Sure there is a wide selection and friendly staff, but I strongly disagree with pricing/ weight distribution / and presentation. The herb was dry and poorly trimmed/ flakey, larger amount of weight came from stems. I feel that they could be a very solid establishment given their customer service but I strongly believe pricing should be reevaluated and more care should be introduced in bud care. From what I’ve obtained during my visits, I can only compare their flower to what I’d get from a street dealer. I wish the best to their business and hope that this is seen as constructive review.

32. I live in Gresham and pass by this shop almost every day. but drive about 30 min to buy bud from nec. I stopped in for a quick gram(Huckelberry 27.42 /95%sativa) on my way home and i was so surprised at the Quality. The vibe was supper chill. Kevin and Chris Thanks Guys Light one!

33. 10/17/2018 around 5:15pm. Not sure if I will come back to this place after the experience I had today. The system has my boyfriend in as medical but for me recreational. After the (around 5’6″-5’8″ 35-40yo) dyed blonde stalky store clerk got after once Again that he can not purchase anything for me on his account we then made it extremely clear multiple times that we were making separate purchases for ourselves seperately yet she would not let us talk to eachother. Everytime we tried to talk to eachother to get advice/opinion she nearly barked at us & was borderline accusing him of trying to make purchases for me. He was not!!! I can’t hear very well so alot of time I have him repeat what they say to me because I can understand his voice more clearly. Alot of times he has me look & smell the different oils & flowers they have because I have a powerful sense of smell plus he trusts my opinion/judgement ALOT since I know him so well. The other store clerks (slender short lady & a man) were nice & courteous & trying to help us but had trouble being able to because she was needlessly reprimanding all of us nearly constantly. It was a terrible experience! I left not buying anything because I couldn’t make up my mind due to the anxiety I felt being in there. My boyfriend was also very upset after we left & felt that I was being discriminated because niether of us could even get it out that he is my ears for hearing. He wanted my opinion on some oils he was wanting but wasn’t able to because he wasn’t being allowed to by the same woman who kept at us & wasn’t helping at all. It did not feel compassionate despite the name of the place.

43. Proximity to my house brought me in, the strains and friendly ladies and gents brought me back. I have become a regular of this fine establishment and am yet to be disappointed. They’re friendly and have a price range for every budget, the buy 10 get one free gram incentive program is great enough and then these mothertruckers added a 25% off coupon for cupcakes onto their receipts because as luck would have it there is a cupcake shop attached to the pot shop. It’s a definite two for one deal pick up some great buds and order a delicious cupcake in one trip. You won’t be disappointed.

44. Went in and got “top shelf” and spent 300 dollars on some good looking bud. Got it home and it was sub par at best… Not happy and will not be back. Selling bud that is not up to par at top shelf prices is insane. After all the good things I have seen about this place, I was not impressed.

When mentioning that fact, they responded with I only work here. There weed was dry and very stemmed. What a crappy way of not honoring Veterans. Fellow Veterans find a different store. Bait and switch tactic. I told them what I was going to do (bad review) they asked if I had ever done that before. (as if I was to old and dumb to figure it out) Well you the only 1 I’ve bothered to write a review about. Not very compassionate. After shopping around your store is very over priced !

    Most importantly the prices are fair!

    They’re not asking too much for medical grade stuff! And even the residential prices are reasonable. Most importantly though the staff is very helpful and patient furthermore they take the time to help you even if you don’t have no clue what’s going on. This is quite a contrast in regards to other clinics where too many of them just want to process you through like McDonald’s not here at the compassionate Clinic!

You Guys are the best I went in and they give free pizza and great joints for a dollar. the prices were cheap and the quality was bombtastic! this place was small but they had more for selection than nectar. my new favorite place. They even give you a free cupcake with your purchase and they are fresh made mmmmmmm

62. I have made this excellent little diamond in the rough my go to shop. Not only are the staff professional and knowledgeable, but very forth right. I was in on a day a new strain appeared in this shop. And when I asked if it was any good, the strain, and other questions I had, the actual owner of the place gave me the specification sheet on the strain.

    And told me with honestype I have not seen in many shops. He said” Paul, I haven’t tried this, or even heard of this strain., if it turns out to be what you not expected, we will take care of you.”.

    Mind you, this was on a 20% HTC 50/50 hybrid called Yellow TaiL that they were selling for SIX DOLLAR AND FIFTY CENTS A GRAM!!!!

69. conveniently located right down the hill from my house. the place is small but that’s a little irrelevant. parking is ample and discounts for the cupcake store next door. they usually always have what we’re looking for and the bud is fairly priced. staff is usually very helpful and make great recommendationsl, this was actually the first dispensary i ever went to and the budtender introduced me to one of my favorite strains. when they’re slammed the staff can get a little rude and overwhelmed. my only other complaint is once one of the tenders seemed visibly stoned and bagged me up double of what i asked for. i didnt realize til after she rung me up and she struggled so much through the process that i didnt want to say anything so i just payed double what i was intending to– it ended up being smoked anyway

91. I think that this is the best place I have been to, and I have checked out a number of places. Very friendly and helpful. But I must say also that being closed on Saturday is a big bummer, especially since that is a day when many others have off and have time to visit, take our time, and browse. They have a great selection, and are very informative when helping one to make a selection. Unfortunately though I will have to go elsewhere today since I have the time, and am in need. I’m pretty bummed about that but have no other choice.Frankly it is an odd day to be closed.

101. The place is tight, and that’s the list of cons. There is no medical market in Portland. If there was a truly medicinal dispensary they wouldn’t cost so much. In Gresham is where the medical market is. NW has RSO and other meds that a real patient needs. It was a friendly experience with a knowledgable people. The value was had in the discounts. I don’t know many people in the OMMP program that aren’t on a fixed budget. This place understands that. Also discount doesn’t mean inferior quality it’s on special. Last, if you have questions about prices and such call them. I did and I’m glad. Shop size aside. This is what an OMMP dispensary should be.

110. This is such a convenient location for those that live in the Gresham/Troutdale area. If you’re going to a concert at Edgefield or heading to the gorge this place is conveniently on the way. 111. I went here several times because it’s close to home, but the convenience is not worth it. The bud is over priced. According to them, they have 200 strains, and when you ask them about one they can’t seem to find it or be helpful or knowledgeable. now, let’s talk about the quality of the bud…..it’s a mixed bag….some times it was decent and other times it was disappointing (considering their overprices) compared to other shops i can find way better quality, friendly faces and knowledgeable non rude budtenders.

112. Great selection of top shelf at reasonable prices, and affordable lows. Come in asking for oz’s at 60$ or under expect the bud to be 15% thc or lower. You get what you pay for. Also read the signs on the door at this place, something not enough people do here. And if you’re a medical patient coming in with a rec customer, do not conversate about your purchases or they won’t sell to you, that’s a new law by the way, not them.

115. this shop and the folks that operate it are AMAZING! ive been coming back since day 1 of recreational sales. day 1 figured we would splurge and pick up a new piece to mark the occasion..fast forward a month or so and i fumbled the piece and broke it. so back i went to pick up a new quality piece, needed a reup anyway. got to talking with the guys and they said bring it in and we’ll see if our blower can fix it. got a call today from the shop and the blower dropped off a new piece for me to come pick up! talk about awesome customer service! the whole team is fantastic!

121. OK I gave y’all another chance because you’re so very easy to get to from my home, and you do have some decent deals, as well as a couple of budtenders who know how to be kind. But, I WILL NOT BE DISSED yet another time when I call on the phone. Why do you folks always assume when I call that I have laundry list of items I am going to be asking about? I simply ask that you tell me yes or no on a couple of items in stock and it is ALWAYS too much to ask. Always the same old song and dance response, refusing to give me info. Telling me the menu is “not the way to go” and that I “MUST” come in and see what you have. Well, of course you want me to come in so you can try and talk me into buying a substitute if you don’t have what I am looking for. I guess the last time I called and was given the spiel came in later that day and didn’t find what I wanted then left without buying a thing must have really chapped your hide, eh? 124. I went here recently for the first time simply because it’s relatively close to my house (thanks, Leafly), and this place is pretty great. The guys were quick to help, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I’ll most definitely be visiting again.

127. Im only writing a second review hoping even one more customer doesn’t go to this location. The word compassion should not be in their name, because they couldn’t care less about their customers. Every time I’ve been, I have been disrespected and treated poorly. Those who serve medical patients should be held to a higher standard, and therefore im not ok with this dispencery representing the gresham cannabis community. We as a community deserve better, and im looking forward to seeing this location close down.

130. Personal I have done a lot of shopping around since Oct.1 and this place was horrible. I wanted a $10 gram which the man who was helping me weighed out for me for a jar. I should of really looked at it but have never had a issue with quality until now, this gram was full of leaf and stems. it’s the only dispensary within a hundred blocks of my house but I would rather drive the distance than ever go here again.

Just stopped by this place because I drive past it daily… I was pleasantly surprised by the comfortable environment and friendly atmosphere… The staff was knowledgable and tried to help pick strains for my wife and I that were affordable and had the medicinal effects we were looking for being that my wife and I were on a small budget for this trip. I will be going back here just because of the service and friendly atmosphere… I will give more reviews as I purchase more from here… Very very good first impression!

Pros: Awesome selection, very nice CBD pain fighting strains, knowledgeable and friendly as hell staff, no slutty dressed gals (no offense to anyone who dresses like that, it’s nice for those of us who enjoy a more professional atmosphere), 25% discount for the cupcakes next door, and Unbelievably yummy teriyaki place as well. They won’t gouge you either, the prices on cartridges are the cheapest you’ll find hands down. Love this place, the only down side is the building – very small – other than that one of the best places I’ve been to! Thank you guys!

     Impressions: The building is nearby the trip to The Gorge and beyond. It is a small establishment and if it is busy, you will wait outside while inside is full. The staff was very good about getting people in and out. It was a good experience. The budtender was very knowledgeable about CBD to THC ratios and their importance as medicine (vital to me as an OMMP card holder and a research maniac).
     Even with a line out the door, he was focused and on point.
     Flower: The highlight for me was Crash’s indoor flower. Some old names you would recognize right away and some newer to me hybrids as well. Very top notch. The price is to match but also to be expected on top shelf flower. Their selection of lesser expensive was nothing earth-shattering but had a wide variety on-hand.
     Pros: Wide variety of flower and products. Crash’s flower mentioned once again because of the quality. The staff is friendly staff in the face of a line that I bet does not end until they get close to closing. Plenty of shared parking.
     Cons: The location is small. You may wait but worth it. Some of the flower pricing (high-end) is up there. Pre-roll joint selection is not in dube-tubes, just loose in plastic bags. Rather have my medicine stored in tubes for less breakage and drying out.
     Final thoughts: If you are in the area on your way to nature or live nearby, this is one of the only options. I have visited other locations that are nearby and they may be bigger, have more flash but the products and knowledge (thank you Eric!!) are not even close. From entry level flower to top shelf, I believe that you can find something here you will be impressed with.

140. Best dispensary around! They have a large variety of flower and always have killer deals. They are always super helpful and deliver exceptional customer service. NW also has punch cards, which you generally don’t see at other places. Check this place out, you’ll be glad you did!!

142. In the review I posted on their Facebook page I said that big things come in small packages and after two more visits since they opened to recreational customers nothing’s changed that view.
     A welcoming, friendly team of folks doing a great job serving an increasing number of customers in a pretty confined space. Said space is utilized well though with all flower products available to examine and to sniff. Despite the pressure on the space the great staff are happy to let you take your time and always keen to introduce new strains on their menu to waiting customers while serving others, weighing out orders etc. at the same time. Great bit of multitasking guys 🙂
     On the subject of strains, the menu is varied and expanding with a nice selection of sativa-dominant and indica-dom strains as well as a few balanced hybrids. Some fairly potent flower too. For sativa fans I can certainly recommend their Jack the Ripper at 26%. Nice sticky buds. Indica-wise the Terminator and Mr. Nice strains exhibit hashy smells and tastes which have me nostalgic for Blighty and also for old Amsterdam.
     So all-in-all a great dispensary run by dedicated, friendly and responsive folks. Highly recommended.

146. I enjoyed shopping at this easy to find location. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They let me check out a ton of strains and were very patient. They have an enormous variety to chose from. Many strains that I had heard of and many that I had never seen before. I did end up choosing two strains that I’ve never smoked. They also have punch cards like the coffee stores that I go to! Which is AWESOME, they also have a lot of deals and discounts. I will definitely be coming again and I recommend this shop highly.

147. We’ve been to quite a few dispensaries all over the state and this has by far the strangest and most confusing procedure to enter. Push a button and hold your ID to the camera. There is no indication that anyone is looking, except the door pops open slightly after a few seconds but the door gets stuck so it leaves you yanking on it until it releases fully. Meanwhile the guy is talking to you through a speaker from the other side of the door but you can’t hear anything he’s saying because you’re standing next to a busy road. When you get into the first door, it shuts behind you and you still have to go through the next door. For me the second door wasn’t open yet so there was a good 20-30 seconds I was in a coat closet-sized space (and starting to feel claustrophobic)before it popped open. When I got in I was waiting for my husband, since you can only go in one at a time. The man just kept saying very rudely aEURoeopen the door dude!aEUR The overall vibe was that he was annoyed by the fact that we were there and he had to do his job. You can get the same products at nicer dispensaries for just as good of prices. Out of at least 50 Oregon dispensaries this is my least favorite thus far. At least our budtender was sweet and she was very helpful. Compassion shouldn’t be in the name as long as that guy is there.
