I will definitely recommend this place to other OMMP patients. Ty. Staff was very professional and a comfortable atmosphere. Ty . hope to be returning to see u guys again sooner then later. Lol.

5. I’m an OMMP patient who came into this shop for the first time a week or two ago. You were one of the last dispensary’s that I saw with the Juicy Fruit Live Resin from Oregrown. I purchased the last two grams you had from your powell location. The shop was beautiful and the employees were friendly. But when I got home and tried the oil I realized both grams that were sold to me had clearly been used as displays. I’m a concentrate connoisseur and have had multiple grams of this same Juicy Fruit in the past and all of them had great terpenes and great effects. The two grams I got from you were darker in color, different consistency, had a terrible flavor which was absolutely nothing like the Juicy Fruit and was way harsher. I was never told that these were used as displays and left under light for long periods of time. If I knew that I wouldn’t have made the purchase. I would stay away from this shop if your looking to get high quality concentrates.

11. It truly was a good experience. It’s very small and cute…..much like the help you get inside in selecting the proper medicine. Actually, it probably was the best customer service I’d received at a dispensary yet. The girl helping me, one on one, obviously takes pride in the culture and cares, genuinely, about matching a person/problem with a strain/solution. She knew quite a bit of strain lineage. Usually, you know more than the budtenders about their strains. I will definitely return!!

    Last night I called looking for a certain strain. Ashley went above and beyond to help. Called other locations for me and even had a list of other places who had it. She was Amazing! 33. I broke down and bought the Agent Orange Caviar at $20 a gram after saying I would never pay that much and have to say it was worth every penny! Wow, I had a serious coughing fit after 1 freaking hit off my bong. Then as the loading and passing commenced every person in the room had the same result. Props on that super awesome mutant strain for sure, and you have both Indica & Sativa so one can choose their favorite. I then purchased some honey THC Losages for my girls cold and sore throat, a couple lemon cookies, and half for the road of Blueberry. I really love the all around Quality, Service, Atmosphere, and Experience every time I go!

42. Once again I’ve made the journey out to PHCC… I love it there, and always leave with a smile. The people that work here are wonderful, only slightly less wonderful then the medicine they so lovingly provide.

    My ONLY complaint at all, and its a tiny one..is that I’ve been coming here pretty much since it opened, follow it on twitter, and facebook… and yet not once have I gotten my free gram for my review on leafly , and this is my third one LOL.. I’ve always mentioned it, though no one from the staff has mentioned it directly to me, coming or going. Its a rather small thing in the grand scheme of things, I think it annoys my husband more then me.

    I guess it shows just how much i DO love this place though that not only do I continue to make the 45 minute drive out there , but I continue to leave reviews. Why? Because they are just that awesome!

43. I very much enjoyed shopping at Powell House Cannabis Club. Heather at the front desk was friendly, professional and proficient. She brightened my day the moment I walked in the door. Brent was very helpful showing me various strains and describing their differing effects. I bought Purple God Bud mainly because of the name, but the THC content was out of the roof as well. I was not disappointed.

    The staff assisting me with viewing their selections are well informed and very helpful. In my case, I needed to inquiry about CBD strains. I was giving many options for a delivery system for my medicine that are high in CBDs and I’m glad that the public has these choices.

    While the place is small compared to other places I’ve been, Powell House left me with an impression of great selection and excellent customer service and epitomizes the E. F. Schumacher concept of aEURoesmall is beautifulaEUR because Powell House demonstrate that patients matter.

Grabbed some happy-go-lucky Cinex to go with some cheerful Durban Poison. Was very satisfied. Recreational seems slightly high-priced but the selection is great!

85. I just got my card last week, so my caregiver and I went in last Saturday evening. I was pleasantly surprised at the professional atmosphere. Jenny, our budtender was the best! very knowledgeable, and friendly! she made us feel right at home. I especially appreciate that they limit one customer to an employee. You get their undivided attention, and you don’t feel rushed. it was like a kid in candy store kinda night!

    Not a fan of recent turn towards selling lots of extract cartridges. Not a fan of apparently high staff turnover in the past year or demographic skew. One time came in for some medicine to find the owner had taken it off to another location and no one had updated the menu.

90. The weed is good but this place is not good to their employees. Every time I go to visit, every single employee has been replaced. This makes me feel weird because not only do I constantly have to build new rapport but also I see these girls thinking “they’re just going to fire you in a couple months.” This is a hire-at-will-state, I understand, but this company is toying with people’s livelihood and I refuse to support it.

99. Friendly, courteous, knowledgeable staff readily available to give advice or answer any question you may have. There is a wide selection of beautifully manicured flowers as well as the other products you would expect. The setting is clean and cozy (small waiting room) but there is a nice deck out front or browsing right across the hall at “The Pipe Shack” if you have to wait a little. PHCC is conveniently located on two major bus lines. The whole package is everything you would want in a dispensary and has gained my permanent patronage.

134. Chalice is one of my favorite dispensaries. From the moment you walk in, the staff is professional and friendly. They are also knowledgeable and very helpful in recommending strains for whatever you may be looking for. The product selection includes some old school strains (Chemdawg…yum) and newer strains (Jack Herer). Great quality too. I’m a regular I can’t leave a review without saying I love the log cabin style building!

I was absolutely blown away by the environment, the staff and the wares of Powell House Cannabis Club. The clean, professional decor provides the comfortable setting of a neighborhood doctor’s office. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and the prices were better than I’ve seen in many other dispensaries. Overall, I had an awesome experience and I will be sure to come again and recommend them to friends.

147. I was very disappointed with my visit to Powell House, so much so I was pushed to finally get an account. For an industry that’s trying to become legitimized, you’d think there’d be more of a professional attitude (not the typical stuffy office type… But employees not on their phones and inappropriately joking when customers are around, shouldn’t be much to ask). Personal caring warmth and interest/knowledge of product, in addition to a somewhat professional attitude, is what makes people feel comfortable, welcomed and cared for… That’s what I look for when seeking to medicate… but I felt uncomfortable, like I was a burden, and that I was just another sale. The manager and budtender were both very unprofessional and short, and though the product was decent, it was more expensive than lots of other locations. They’re a business… And that’s all they proved to care about….Themselves, their business, and their numbers. With the selection out there and what’s available I find no reason to ever go back. apologies unnecessary. maybe just treat customers a bit better and offer them genuine, caring service so they can find decent product that really can help? Thanks.

     I have never felt more compelled to review a dispensary. I sit here a day later still feeling like this place got one over on me & that is their M.O. from the start. I have read & heard good things about Chalice Farms flowers. I believe they even have a couple major award winners in house as well. They started out as producers & have evolved into operating 4 retail locations as well. To my delight they opened the location on Powell. I finally was able to make it in last night & was really looking forward to their great flower. First off, the staff were both very nice & professional. The first clue, which almost made me leave (should have!) was that they only sell a 2 gram minimum, when I asked the price of a gram. This is total BS & even they have to know this. They can use any excuse they want, but it is insulting at its best. I was really there for an eighth of their best indica until I found out they were trying to ask $60 for an eighth. Yes, $60 for an eighth. I have been to my share of the local storefronts & this is the most ridiculous pricing & pricing structure I have ever seen. Now, on to the indica itself. They have small show jars with apparently the best quarter from each strain. This is where things got even weirder here. I decided on the sharks breath, which was their headiest indica they had at 28%. The show jar sample looked dipped in sugar & smelled piney & pungent, just excellent product. I relented & grabbed “2” grams, as I told myself never again. To my total surprise they hand me a bag which a plastic container already to go. What happened to picking it out or even letting you choose a bud you like & weighing it in front of you?? Got home & I’m floored upon opening my goodies. What I have smells like hay, very pre mature & has little resin unlike the great sample I was shown. Figured oh well let’s see how it smokes. I go to twist one up & out pops a bean. What!?!? I bought the top of their shelf & is smells like hay & has beans. Wtf. After the first couple of puffs, there it is, that distinct taste of chlorophyll & fresh herb. Unreal!! I just feel cheated & totally taken advantage of by this place. I have never had a worse experience at a local dispensary. And have never had such poor quality product for such an insane markup. Especially since they are the producer. Direct to market! Anyways, I digress. Chalice, if you care to reach out to gain any further details or care to make me see you in any different light, I’d be surprised. So for know, fellow Leflians, don’t say you weren’t warned.

     Also glad they are now stocking CO2 oil from Mt Hood Extracts. Its just too bad Mt Hood Extracts doesn’t know how to package their oil. Extracting it from the syringe is a painful experience (physically). The oil is too thick to pass through the provided syringe. Pressing really hard I was able to extract the oil in about 10 minutes, and afterward my thumb was sore for the next day or so. Not fun. Pop Naturals on the other hand has great syringes for their CO2 oil, just not as potent oil.

The sour tsunami was great medicine but lacked terpines and flavor. It also hurt my throat. The blueberry was fantastic but sold out quickly. my advice is to buy a gram first to see if it’s worthy. Very nice staff though. Slightly inept though.

     I make the trip from Central Oregon to the city called Portland for medical reasons

     every six months. It’s brutal enough to leave the serenity that is Central Oregon to visit

     the havoc that is Portland. My visit to Chalice Farms Powell was definitely not the “high”

     point of this semi-annual trek.

     After reading reviews I thought this would be the place to visit, so I dropped in on my

     way back over the mountain. Nice building, great parking, ADA access, nice chat with

     the very pleasant person at the front desk. Beautifully crafted fixtures and

     displays…really very nice. The two guys working the counter were chatty and

     informative.

     My problem: the employee “assigned” to help me. What a smug, condescending,

     unpleasant person. Knowledge about a product is great…until it is used to try to prove

     that you are superior to someone else. Your attempt at this was all for your own head. If

     you had gotten over yourself and treated me with respect I would have spent a lot more

     than I did. In retrospect, I should have not spent anything. A little tip for you: your

     extensive “knowledge” about product needs to be broadened a bit. Just because you

     have never heard of a certain packaging method does not mean it is inferior. Do some

     homework. Visit a dispensary that is not in your locale. Things are different elsewhere.

     I’ll try another place when I am next in Portland.

Oregon was supposed to be the promised land for exceptional medicine, but most compassion clubs primarily stock grassy weed that is improperly cured. In a state known for great cannabis, I have been disappointed and I find it unacceptable to charge us top-shelf prices on mediocre flowers. I grow a premium organic garden myself, and there is no excuse not to have perfect flowers every time :-/

     Then yesterday morning, I wander in on Powell, and it was like a breath of fresh air! Apparently the ownership is all brand new as of May 2014. The staff is knowledgable, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, almost more like a doctors office. The selection was massive, the flowers were very sugary across the board! The employees know better than to let people stick their hand into the medicine jar. I personally smoke well-over an ounce every week, and the four quarters I picked up were all stellar! Harlequin with high CBDs is sweet tasting and highly medicinal, I like mixing it with the Purple God Bud I got. According to them, it tested close to 30% THC, on three different testings! I dig the combo 😉 I also picked up some beautiful Black Cherry Soda a batch of Jack Herer that tastes perfect… I can’t wait to pick up some more from them soon <3

Now lets get to my favorite thing about Powell House. **Concentrates** I have been a fan of concentrates for a long time and in all those years I have never found the consistent quality and selection that you see at Powell House Cannabis Club. Wax, Shatter, Crumble, PHO, CO2, Preloaded Cartridges, and more. All with complete lab results showing exactly what you are getting. This dispensary is a top notch one stop shop and the budtenders and front desk associates define customer service. I will not let any OMMP friends I have go anywhere else. It is one of those set-ups where they have a budtender come out and give you “the tour”. Hey it’s not my first time at the rodeo, I just wanted some weed and an edible. I think that this experience is fine for someone wanting to impress someone with them or either a newbie, but for others it is kind of silly. I similarly don’t require a concierge at the package store to go over the finer points of Monpolowa -vs- Grey Goose either. When I want cheap vodka I go with Mono, otherwise Goose. Also the prices are understandably a bit high as they have their new building.

303. I’ve been to 2 Chalice Farms locations now & the flower here is the best! I got their top shelf flower & it truly blows others away – wonderful smells & terpenes & powerful effects. I’m very picky & I’ll go out of my way to come here. I purchased two 2 gram flowers at this location & another at the Airport Way store.. The top shelf & more expensive ones were some of the best flower I’ve ever had. The lesser quality & cheaper one was not as amazing, pretty average. So if you want the BEST flower, get Chalice Farms top quality. The staff was informed & helpful & the building is nice. Highly recommended for great flower!

305. I created an account on Leafly because I wanted to write a review about this shop. The dispensary I normally go to was closed, and this spot was still open and close to my house. The people working were very nice and friendly, but they didn’t seem to know much about strains.

     Things I liked about Chalice;
     -Beautiful setting
     -Good music playing
     -Receptionist was really sweet.
     -Bud tenders were SO NICE!
     -Good lighting

     Things I didn’t like about Chalice:
     The flowers I purchased were already weighed out into eighths and in a container that I couldn’t see into, therefor I didn’t really know what I was getting.
     -OVERPRICED
     -Almost all the strains on their menu were sold-out.
     -They were out of stock on all the cartridges I wanted.

     This shop has potential. I hope they fix their inventory and pricing issues.

315. Alright. I’m just going to be real. I came to Powell House because they had a strain that I was seeking that’s only available here and is right down the street from my house. Upon arriving, I anticipated a homey, down-to-earth, and welcoming environment. I walked in, was greeted shortly by the receptionist, then allowed in to the bud room with two bud tenders. This place is in a house, but only takes up about a size of a living room. It was pretty cramped. I asked questions about the flower and received short and extremely vague answers. As a fellow bud tender, I understand the importance of being personable, answering questions thoroughly and making feel people feel comfortable. I received the opposite and am kind of disappointed. I honestly couldn’t help but laugh in disbelief. Good luck to you, Powell House. You’ll probably see me again for some of your white widow but would love a little more of a friendly visit next time. 🙂

At a lot of dispensaries, you are welcomed by some dude in a fitted hat that looks like Fred Durst while the atmosphere is that of a college dorm room. Not at Chalice. The staff is knowledgable and friendly (shout out to Eileen). The atmosphere is very professional, yet totally laid back, and the prices are reasonable. I highly recommend repeat visits to Chalice!

Anna, my bud tender, was more than helpful and got me some of the nicest, tightest buds available for the strains I purchased. $50 for a half oz. is an incredible price for the Bianca that I purchased. 394. It is always so refreshing to walk into a business where the owners and employees display passion and devotion to excellence in their trade. When you walk into Powell House Cannabis club it is apparent that these guys have the passion. Talking to them you realize that they are cannabis geeks of the best variety. From the friendly, knowledgeable service to the impressive amount of perfectly cured delicious flowers, many of which are done in house, these guys have all the marks of a great dispensary. There was not one jar of one single strain that I did not want to crawl into and rejoice in its deliciousness; all of them seemingly dusted by fairy dust. I always have plenty of medication so I only buy flower when I want something special and this will be the place I come next time that happens. The shop has a great feel to it , that semi-medical office look with the loving twist of cannabis culture.

     In regards to their concentrate selection, they did not have too much to choose from. The BHO smelled great and was pretty standard at $25/gr donations. The one shatter that they did have was a great value, $15 and was comprised of 8 different strains (not a bad thing). They also had this grape ape caviar, nuggets marinated in kief that was pretty groovy. They said they will be getting some more shatters and other concentrates in soon so I will be back to check it out, if it is anything like their flower selection

     The two guys who were in there took the time to talk with me about everything. It is imperative to make the patient feel welcome and at home and a huge part of that is not making us feel rushed. They have only been open two weeks but I think these guys are here to stay, something reinforced as they pointed to their state dispensary license on the wall, one of the first issued. If the cannabis industry is going to truly be accepted by the mainstream, corners cannot be cut. These guys do everything by the books and I applaud them for it. Thank you for providing safe access to patients.

409. After reading interviews and articles with the owner and his dedication to medical marijuana I had to stop by and try his flower. Wow what a disappointment. The dispensary was very small and illuminated with nice pendent fixtures. The problem was the light was warm (yellow) and all the flowers looked brown. I tried a few grams from different strains all with the same outcome, hay taste. They all were over dry seemed very old and had little to no odor, basically stale. An example I can give is I had to stick my head almost in a jar of Blue city Diesel to even get a hint of its wonderful odor. They do not use the rehydration packs you see at many of the other dispensaries which would help them with proper storage. As far as effects with the samples I purchased, they seemed to be very mild compared to other dispensaries I have tried with the same strain . The joints were a mix of all their top shelf strains with flavored papers not what I would call medical quality. In short I believe the owner has his heart in the game but just isn’t at the point which I would consider this a top shelf dispensary. No matter how attractive your budtenders are they can’t make up for the quality of the flower.

     1. Cleanliness, comfort, and professionalism of the space
     2. Courteous, professional staff who understand their product and can help make recommendations
     3. Compassionate, conversational staff who understand medical purchases can carry extra weight

     In the above four areas, Powell House met or exceeded expectations. I had a great first trip to a dispensary. I will definitely check their online menu, first, but I will return and expect this to be a primary dispensary.

423. Nice shop, very polished and swanky but a bit sterile and impersonal. I actually felt quite awkward, and that’s the first time I’ve ever experienced that in a dispensary.

     The strains were amazing and of excellent quality, but after medicating with it I found them to be a bit expensive for what I got.

     The free pre-roll I received was oddly rolled, thick with no crutch and quite difficult to get good draw off of. It seems like this is a place opened by upscale out-of-towners.

     I would say if you are a cannabis connoisseur and don’t mind donating premium prices for premium product, this is the place for you, I however prefer a more welcoming and community focused atmosphere.

444. i am from baker city oregon and i went to portland to see about getting the best medicine possible and while i was on my way home i seen this place and stopped to see what they had for me well i was treated by a very knowledgeable staff thank you so much ladies, they gave me a great deal told me about the specials and it felt very comfortable shopping at this establishment. wow in fact this place help me make up my mind on going to portland every month to get my medicine they have the best deals and great medicines. i will be back next month ladies and thank you for the way i was treated being a person from eastern oregon not knowing much about the different kinds of medicines for my condition they were both a great help thanks donald cody

457. I have also found Mold on Chalice’s weed. All growers have to do is send in a gram out of a batch of pounds to be tested, so you can see how a place like this gets around a truthful testing. The flower has mite poop and mold….The icing on the cake is the rudeness and prices. Stay far away from this overpriced non-medication

458. I was in the SE part of town and had a chance to try out Powell House. The registration was fairly easy and everyone was very professional and friendly. Inside the inventory is laid out reasonably well. They have a fantastic selection of flowers and a good selection of concentrates and medibles. The flowers are some of the best I’ve seen anywhere, ever. I was able to compare a couple of strains head to head with good examples from other dispensaries. Their Orange Crush and Romulan are without equal in my experience (over more years than I care to admit). They obviously take pride in their offerings. I highly recommend Powell House. You won’t be disappointed.

474. I am a cancer patient and was looking for cannabis with high cbd levels. I like that everything was labeled clearly and showed testing results. I did think the prices were a little too high and wished that they had higher cbd levels. The highest I found was 11%. I had hoped for at least 18 %. But marijuana was fresh and not dried out like a lot of the local shops I have been too. And everyone was very nice and helpful and open to suggestions.

496. I ended up stopping by after noticing a dispensary i had not seen before. Went in and they were friendly enough to laminate my card (which for some reason has not already happened at the many other dispensaries). Their bud selection was top of the line and that is saying something here in portland! They also have oils and all the typical dispensary doodahs. If you get a chance to check out the caviar do it! Its a nice little place to get meds. I will be back.
